Meeting Schedule

Rain City Rotary meets at 6:15 PM every Thursday except for the 2nd Thursday of the month. Meetings are at Shoreline Community College (SCC) in the Pagoda Union Building (PUB), 16101 Greenwood Avenue N, Shoreline, 98133, 206-546-4101. For directions to SCC see below, for a map click here.

  • From Aurora Ave head west on NE 160th Street
  • Turn right on Greenwood Ave N
  • Turn left on Innis Arden Way
  • Take an immediate right turn after the parking ticket machine (do not take a ticket)
  • Take an immediate left turn into Parking Lot E10 (this is the Faculty and Staff Lot but it is free to members and guests of RCR during our meetings)
  • The PUB is right next to this lot, go up the stairs to enter the PUB or enter the ground level at the bookstore and use the elevators
  • Rain City Rotary meets in the Quiet Dining Room across from the coffee bar

  • Monthly Community Service Project:  Vision House - Jacob's Well

    Jacob's Well, transitional housing for mothers and children, is in the beginning stages of construction in Shoreline.  It will include 20 apartments, integrated with support services, on-site child care, a family counseling and crisis center and children's recreation and program space.  Our club members will help with clean up at the building site.  From North City, head north on 15th Ave NE.  Turn right on NE 196th.  Turn right on Forest Park Drive.  Turn left on 20th Ave NE.  You will see the building site on your right.  For more information, visit www.vision-house.org

    Mark Pursley is the Gun Violence Prevention Coordinator for the City of Seattle.  Mark will talk about ways to reduce the incidences and effects of violent crime and the illegal use of firearms.  Mark is a member of Burien/White Center Rotary Club.

    Coffee Strong is a G.I. Coffeehouse run by the veteran-led organization, G.I. Voice.  Located at Fort Lewis, Coffee Strong serves as a meeting place for soldiers and their families.  The program offers free coffee to enlisted soldiers, free GI Rights counseling, trama counseling for soldiers and their families, free concerts and movies.  For more information, visit www.GIVoice.org
